We’re expanding our eBook collection!
On March 27th, OPL will join the Ohio Digital Library to provide our patrons expanded eBook and digital material access, including popular magazines. All of our current titles will migrate to the Ohio Digital Library, and OPL patrons will continue to have priority access to our full collection.
Find the answers to some common questions below, but please reach out if you run into any issues or have additional questions.
-
You will need to add the Ohio Digital Library as a library through the Libby app using your OPL card number and PIN. If you are still using the Overdrive app, we suggest you switch at this time. Until we are fully transitioned, patrons should search for electronic materials directly through Libby rather than the regular OPL catalog.
-
All holds and current loans with the OPL will be transferred.
-
You can have more than one card with the ODL. Each card will provide priority access to the member institution’s collection.
-
If you are already using Libby, you will continue to have access to these lists. If you are using Overdrive and wish to keep a copy of your reading history, you can download a copy using these instructions.
Overdrive wish lists can be added to Libby using these instructions.
-
You will still be able to contact OPL directly to suggest titles for purchase.
