Stop by our Craft Supply Swap on Saturday, March 8th!
Are you haunted by the ghosts of hobbies past? Bring in your unopened or gently used craft supplies and swap them for something fresh. Or, if you’re new to crafting and looking to dip your toes in, come on in and browse! No donation is required to attend.
Donations will be accepted starting Monday, March 3rd
What to Bring
Please bring in your new and gently used craft supplies including (but not limited to):
Drawing and Painting: Pencils, paints, inks, brushes, chalks, markers, pastels
Surfaces: Canvas, specialty papers (watercolor, printmaking, origami, etc.), panels, scratch boards, construction paper, sketchbooks
Tools and Accessories: Scissors, glue guns, craft knives, hole punches, pliers and nippers, drafting tools, glue, tape, sandpaper, containers
Fibers: Yarn, fabric, thread, embroidery floss, ribbon, sewing and embroidery needles, knitting needles/crochet hooks, notions
Other handicrafts: Beads, jewelry findings, artificial flowers, foam, polymer clay, stamps, leather, wire, scrapbooking supplies, dollhouse supplies
Books: Art/craft instruction books, magazines, patterns, crafting kits
In general: If it’s something you could buy in a craft supply or hobby store, it will probably work here.
What NOT to Bring
Please don’t bring anything dirty, super heavy, dried out, leaking, hazardous, or in need of repair. Donations we cannot accept include (but are not limited to):
Small scraps and offcuts: Bits of fabric, yarn, or wood too small for general use.
Hazardous materials: Resin, oil-based solvents, and anything else that requires special handling to use safely.
Items not originally intended as craft supplies: While we love creative re-use, we are working with limited space, so please leave items like saved plastics and glassware at home.
In general: If it is not ready to be used right away, please don’t bring it.
